Here’s a lively and exuberant synthpop B-side from 1984, featuring shrill vocals and playful lyrics by the French singer Cassie.
While a men choir repeats the chorus in the background, the funky drum machine, synthesizers and mambo style percussion do a brilliant job. This track was co-written and produced by Sylvain Pauchard and Gérard Blanc of Martin Circus fame. As a matter of fact, Cassie was herself part of Les Marylènes, a short-lived punk girls band created by Martin Circus in 1978.
Good mood guaranteed !
